A fine wooden farmhouse. The owners are very nice. There are 16 rooms in 5 separate houses, all neat and tidy. The main house looks like a big log cabin with 4 comfortable rooms on first floor, all with balconies and a spectacular view to the glacier and mountains. In Arnanes one finds a small restaurant (40seats), decorated with artwork made by the lady.

Arnanes is an excellent place and it is necessary to book in time to get a room.

Arnanes is an excellent choice for a cosy guesthouse accommodation in cottages and budget rooms.
There´s also a very ambient dining room and gallery (the owner is an artist) serving set meat and fish courses every evening ( from Ikr. 1500-).

We came to visit Europe´s greatest glacier and we had a perfect bright
shining day on it.

But beneath this great place, there is a lovely hidden place which is worth
to stay without the glacier. It is called Arnanes, home of the best ,,6-star-cook"
of Iceland. In the end we would like to buy out all the home made bread, now
we are going with it as a gift!
